Sacrificial Red
Sacrificial Red is a crimson (when warm) to oxblood (when cold) thermal polish in an opaque crème base.
This shade is inspired by the copper-based red glaze of ceremonial Ming dynasty vessels. Efforts to reproduce this colour in the west led to the invention of sang-de-bœuf (or “oxblood”) glazes.
Thermochromic pigments are coated in polymers, which causes thermal nail polishes to dry matte or semi-matte. For a glossy finish, apply a glossy top coat.
